Our mision

Online shopping generates a lot of CO₂ emissions. Join us in our mission to plant a tree for every online order.

  1. From Order to Seedling
    Every time you shop on one of our partner websites, we plant a seedling. (Our most common seedlings are apple and pear trees, but we grow many more, like tulip trees and pine trees.)

How does it work?

  1. Closing the Loop
    Any revenue generated from this process is reinvested directly into Sproud—supporting our maintenance staff, expanding our sustainability efforts, and ensuring the longevity of our mission.

  1. Nurturing Growth
    Once these seedlings grow into healthy young trees, we collaborate with local nurseries, retailers, and community organizations. Some trees are gifted to enrich local green spaces, while others are sold together to sustain our initiative.

If you have a suitable spot in the ground where the tree can reach its full size, you are eligible to collect one from our pickup points in Leiden or Amsterdam for only €5.
